Yummy in my tummy. This is such an easy recipe but sooooo good. Its from my mum so has childhood memories too. Its an interesting take on cake and uses vinegar ..yes, vinegar! Every time I bake this it vanishes pretty fast.
I use 1.5 cups of flour, 0.5 cup of cocoa, 185 gms butter, 1 tsp of baking soda (not powder), 1 cup of milk which has been left for 10 min after adding a teaspoon of vinegar in it, 2 eggs, 1.5 cups of ground sugar, vanilla essence (I added some champagne essence this time). Just mix all the dry ingredients and add eggs and butter. Blitz in a food processor. Pour in the milk and mix again. Bake at 180C for 30-40 minutes and then watch it vanish.
